The opportunity

Delaware North Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join its Finance Team onsite at Marvel Stadium. 

 

Located in the heart of Melbourne, Marvel Stadium is renowned for regularly staging AFL, A-League, international sporting events and concerts as well as BBL action under the famous retractable roof.

What we offer

In this role the Data Analyst wil be responsible for the leverage of data-driven insights to enhance guest experiences, optimise operations, and drive revenue growth.

 

The role will develop reports and dashboards utilising self-serve visualisation tools (e.g Power BI or Tableau), analyse key revenue and cost drivers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.

What you will do?

  • Analyse guest spending, revenue trends, and operational performance using data from Point of Sale (POS)
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track KPIs such as RevPAR, ADR, and food & beverage sales
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports and analytics
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams by providing actionable insights into pricing, product offer and labour strategies to enhance the quality of decision making
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support financial and operational decision-making
  • Stay up to date with hospitality industry trends, analytics best practices, and emerging technologies

More about you

  • Previous experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or revenue analytics, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and SQL for data querying and reporting
  • Experience with Point of Sale Systems (SwiftPOS highly desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of revenue management principles, pricing models, and forecasting techniques
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
