The Opportunity

Delaware North Australia are currently seeking a Chef De Partie to join our Culinary Team at our Lizard Island Resort located at the 5 star property located on the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef, just over an hour's flight north east of Cairns, QLD.

Employment is subject to a satisfactory National Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working in a high end modern, a la carte kitchen (South East Asian OR Indian style cuisine experience will be highly regarded)
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Passion for guest service and experience;
  • Supervise junior cooking and other kitchen personnel and coordinates their assignments.
  • Provide support to the Sous Chef for dinner services, degustation, food preparation and service.
  • Observes and execute methods of food preparation and cooking, size of portion, and garnishing of food
  • Personal grooming standards suited to a guest focused business
