Coxswain, Lizard Island Resort

Delaware North Australia is hiring a Coxswain to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. As a Coxswain, you will be responsible for assisting in all boating operations including tour preparations, beach-side guest inductions, water transport services, and servicing vessels. • Maintain marine equipment and operate marine vehicles to transport guests, team members, and tours  
• Ensure the consistency, quality, and integrity of the delivery of guest service related to the activities function  
• Meet and greet incoming and outgoing guests, conduct tours, spearhead activities, and oversee property transfers  
• Support the implementation of plans and strategies to improve speed of service and operational efficiencies  
• Create a safe work environment by assisting with implementation of OH&S policies and procedures  

• Certificate of Competency - Full Grade 1 Coxswain or higher required 
• Other required certificates include manual driver’s license, Long Range Operator certificate of proficiency, Responsible Service of Alcohol, AS 2299 diving medical certificate, Provide Advanced Resuscitation, and Oxygen Therapy certificate 
• Knowledge of marine environment, dive industry, and resort flora, fauna, bird, and animal life  
• Fishing guide experience and PADI instructor certification preferred 
• Valid PADI Diving insurance and PADI membership 

• This is a physical role and will support all operations of our activities team
