The Opportunity

Delaware North Australia have an opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to lead a finance team onsite at Marvel Stadium. Reporting to the GM Finance & Reporting, your remit will be to manage, monitor, and lead the accounting operational activities to produce and consolidate financial reports and to analyse of the overall business performance to achieve financial plan, profit margins and business growth, while building Delaware North's brand and client reputation.

Responsibilities

This position requires a commercially driven individual who can partner with the business operations teams and our client, while being a trusted advisor to the General Manager. In addition, you will be required to coach, develop and lead a team including Payroll, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable while managing the overall finance functions to ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.

 

To be successful, you will adopt a business partnering approach while your knowledge of the business and technical competence will ensure you can strategically identify improvement opportunities ahead of the curve. 

What will you bring?

  • You are an experienced Senior Management Accountant or Finance Manager with exceptional people and business partnering skills
  • Experienced in team leadership, coaching, and developing employees
  • Passion for the industry with an understanding of our operational demands
  • A commercial background in high volume environments within hospitality, retail or FMCG
  • A Bachelor of business, accounting or equivalent with completed qualifications as a CA or CPA
  • You are technically sound with a multi-disciplinary background, coupled with exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills
